When Stars + Stripes mix on the vehicle surface, a resulting pH shock will activate the cleaning reaction. This dual stage process breaks the static bond of dirt and road film from the surface, allowing the high psi rinse to remove more grime than any single stage application and also results in a neutral pH. This process saves the user up to 80% of the time it would normally take to do a mitt wash. Using two soaps also lets us tackle more grime by allowing us to use a wider range of surfactants that help with many different types of grime.

From Maintenance to Overhaul

ADJUSTABLE STRENGTH

Stars + Stripes are bottled hyper-concentrated, giving you the flexibility to dial in anything from a light maintenance wash to a full overhaul. Dilute it to your needs in a foam cannon or run it straight through a foam injector for maximum cleaning power.

Cut your wash time by up to 80% compared to a traditional mitt wash. This 2-step process breaks the static bond between dirt, road film, and the surface, allowing a high-PSI rinse to quickly remove stubborn grime, buildup, and contaminants.

Neutral pH Run Off

SAFE + EFFECTIVE

When used together, Stars’ acidic pH and Stripes’ alkaline pH create a neutral pH runoff, making the system safe for all surfaces, including polished metals and ceramic coatings. Achieve a thorough clean without worrying about surface damage.

Directions:

STEP 1: Deploy Stars (Acid Pre-Wash)

• Foam Stars bottom-up, coat fully.
• Dwell 30–60 sec, don’t let it dry.
• Don't rinse before applying Stripes. Stars breaks down grime, bugs, and salt for Stripes’ finish.

STEP 2: Follow with Stripes (Alkaline Detergent)

• Foam Stripes over Stars.
• Apply bottom-up.
• Dwell for 30–60 seconds, don’t let it dry.
• Watch the acid-alkaline reaction melt road film before your eyes.

STEP 3: Rinse with Purpose

• Pressure wash bottom-up for coverage, then top-down to flush.
• Hold 12″ away from the surface for max impact.

Tips:

Try not to wash in direct sunlight:

• This will greatly accelerate drying.
• When washing mirror polished aluminum always make sure aluminum is cool to the touch before applying soap and never let soaps dry.
• If it's too hot to touch we recommend a cold water pre-rinse.

Prevent water spots:

• After rinsing, dry the surface to prevent any water spots from forming. However, if you plan to follow up your wash with Snake Oil, apply Snake Oil before drying your vehicle.
• Consider using a leaf blower for efficiency or, even better, a drying towel with a spray detailer for a flawless finish.

For better results:

• If you’re working on a vehicle with heavy grime or buildup, you can extend the dwell time for better results, just be careful not to let the soap dry on the surface.

Dilutions:

FOAM CANNON:

• 4 parts water to 1 part Stars

POWER WASHER:

• Run at 100:1 Panel Impact Ratio

SUTTNER FOAM INJECTOR

• Suttner injectors automatically dilutes at 100:1. Just place the pickup tube into each gallon of Stars + Stripes and tighten the Chem-X Flow Cap, the injector does the rest.
